This program was created for KOODO (a youth oriented Canadian mobile phone company) of their star spokes mascot character “El Tabador” with a goal to help “fight for phone freedom” and “fight against hunger”. A free Muchacho toy figurine were given out with the activation or purchase of a new “Koodo” phone
The units were also available for purchase online
and at participating stores with a portion of the proceeds going to Food Banks
Canada raising over $25,000 to the charity
Each custom figurine comes in four wrestling
poses of the Koodo mascot and four different custom boxes were created to
encourage the collection of all characters
The Mini Muchachos were a
huge success with fans,popping up on Twitter feeds, Flickr & Facebook
photos and were even sold to collectors on EBay and Craigslist.
